Body Blows - MS-DOS

Body Blows2.txt Body Blows is a one-on-one brawl divided into rounds. The game was created under the inspiration of Street Fighter II, albeit with the good Amiga in mind, so the control system was tailored specifically to its needs. Instead of a few buttons for the arms and legs, we had one: from the action, which we defined by pointing to the right direction - thanks to this, it was extremely pleasant to play on the joystick. PC players, who did not have a stick in their gaming set, were doomed to play the keyboard, which may not be a big problem, but you had to get used to using eight buttons with one hand ... Each direction was responsible for a different action, and also differentiated they happen when, for example, we pressed the action and then jump up from pressing the action after a previous jump. After the moment of loading, holding down the action button resulted in performing a strong special blow, i.e. missiles, global earthquake or invisibility. As a result, each character had up to 21 unique moves to use in battle. Here it is worth mentioning the mechanism called Mercy (with the possibility of turning it off): when the opponent falls on the ground, the action button turns off, so we cannot take another hit until the opponent gets up, which slightly reduces the pressure on the fallen. We have received four modes of play. We have the option to play all 10 characters, playing either one by one against computer opponents, or with a second player seated next to us. Arcade mode has been made available, which it does as a pseudo Story Mode here, limiting the roster to 4 main characters (Nik, Dan, Lo Ray, Junior) and displaying their text ending after defeating all rivals. The last mode is the Tournament option, in which we can play up to eight players in the elimination ladder - in case of lack of friends, you can set up computer opponents. The game also has a built-in cheat system, enabling, among others playing the boss
