Rayman2.txt Rayman A colorful side-scroll platformer in which, by controlling the friendly Rayman, we save the Dreamland from the powerful and sinister Mr. Evil. Created by Michel Ancel and released by Ubisoft, the production gave rise to one of the longest and highest-rated arcade series in history. The game debuted in September 1995 on PS One and Atari Jaguar consoles, from where it was transferred to a number of other hardware platforms. The aforementioned Mr. Evil (in the original Mr. Dark) insidiously attacked the fairy-tale world of our hero and kidnapped its inhabitants - the Electoons, making them his slaves. He also stole the Great Proton, thanks to which law and order reigned in the world, leading to chaos and the fall of the whole land. Regardless of the dangers that await him, our progenitor - a friendly creature named Rayman - sets out to help the imprisoned inhabitants of the Dreamland and defeat the opponents that threaten the world. In the game, we will travel through six different lands: the Forest of Dreams, the Music Land, the Blue Mountains, the Picture City, the Scorpion Caves and the Cookie Castle. Each of them is divided into a series of stages, in which, apart from typical obstacles and minor opponents, there are also powerful bosses waiting for us - the servants of the Evil Lord. Rayman travels through various corners of the fairy-tale world, saving the inhabitants locked in cages. In this dangerous journey, our hero is helped by the encountered NPCs, who in return give him various special abilities. During the game, Rayman not only runs and jumps, but also performs super-strong blows, flies with the help of a propeller's hair, or plants fast-growing plants that cut off the path of opponents. Technically, we are dealing with a classic side-scroll platformer. The two-dimensional graphics of the game are fabulously colorful and are flooded with a lot of pastel colors and a lot of details. The soundtrack of the game, created mostly by French musician Rémi Gazela, makes the fun more enjoyable and perfectly suits the atmosphere of the game.In 1997, Ubisoft released an improved version of Rayman Gold, which introduced a number of changes to the gameplay mechanics, including: timer and the need to collect 100 blue dots before completing the stage. In addition to 24 original levels, players received an advanced editor called Rayman Designer, which allows them to design their own levels and share them on the Internet. A year later, Rayman Forever was released, containing the Gold version and a package of 40 additional levels, created by players.
