As usual in adventure games, the hero has to talk to other characters and collect and use items. However, not all problems need to be solved through dialogue and object manipulation. The player can activate four different behavior modes for Twinsen: Normal, Aggressive, Athletic and Discreet. The first is for peaceful exploration and conversation; Aggressive mode allows Twinsen to punch and kick other characters; Sport mode should be used when it is necessary to run and jump quickly; Discreetness effectively puts Twinsen into stealth mode, allowing him to sneak through an enemy character unnoticed. While activation of a specific mode is often required to resolve a problem, many situations can be resolved in different ways.
