Strife - MS-DOS

Strife2.txt Strife Strife is an online battle game belonging to the MOBA genre that combines arcade, strategic and RPG elements. The whole is based on a free model with micropayments. The project was developed by S2 Games studio, the creators of Heroes of Newerth. The authors put a lot of emphasis on the plot. During the game, we have the opportunity to learn about the history of the world as well as the biographies and motivations of the characters living in it. The course of the story is largely influenced by the achievements of the players, and the official website publishes stories and comics, allowing you to get acquainted with additional threads of the story. The authors remained faithful to the basic principles of the MOBA. The gameplay is therefore about online battles of two teams of heroes, each controlled by a different player. All heroes have a large set of unique special abilities, and while playing, they gain experience points that allow them to develop statistics and buy new talents. The goal of each side of the conflict is to destroy the enemy base. At the same time, the game was created to take the whole genre to a new and better level. Strife is designed so that the production encourages cooperation with other users and helping weaker players. People who adapt to this are rewarded with karma points. On the other hand, players who are rude and spoiling the fun of others get little these points, which informs the rest of the community that it is better to avoid them. The authors paid special attention to training novices. Strife is equipped with a number of systems that allow newbies to quickly reach a decent level. They are even useful for veterans who can analyze their own stumbles with these tools. Trife also changes the way communication works between players. There is no option to send messages to members of the rival team. Voice chat has also been severely restricted. The game lacks a general channel open to everyone, and instead we manually choose who we want to hear. In addition, we cannot see how much time is left for the regeneration of a given skill in other users.
